สถาบันวิจัยภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเอเชีย ร่วมกับ เครือข่ายอินเดียศึกษา จัดการประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ หัวข้อ “Indian Diaspora in Asia”
วันที่ 18 กรกฎาคม 2567 สถาบันวิจัยภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเอเชีย โดย ศูนย์ภารตะศึกษา ร่วมกับ Embassy of India, University of Delhi และ Organisation for Diaspora Initiatives (ODI), New Delhi ประเทศอินเดีย และ South Asian Studies Programme, National University of Singapore (NUS) ประเทศสิงคโปร์ จัดการประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ ในหัวข้อ “Indian Diaspora in Asia” โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.มรกต ไมยเออร์ ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันฯ เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดการประชุมฯ และรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.โสภนา ศรีจำปา ประธานศูนย์ภารตะศึกษา สถาวิจัยภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเอเชีย พร้อมด้วย Prof. Dr. Ajay Dubey จาก Jawaharlal Nehru University ประเทศอินเดีย และ President for Diaspora Initiatives (ODI), Prof. Dr. Amarjiva Lochan จาก University of Delhi ประเทศอินเดีย และ Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rajesh Rai จาก National University of Singapore (NUS) ประเทศสิงคโปร์ ร่วมกล่าวรายงานวัตถุประสงค์การจัดงาน โอกาสนี้ ได้รับเกียรติจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.วิชิตา รักธรรม รักษาการแทนอธิการบดีฝ่ายสื่อสารองค์กรและภาพลักษณ์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ให้เกียรติมากล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงานทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศในภูมิภาคเอเชีย ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์ดนตรีอุษาคเนย์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ศาลายา ทั้งนี้ มีการนำเสนอผลงานวิจัยหลากหลายประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องและเชื่อมโยง ดังนี้
- Pre-colonial, Colonial and Postcolonial History and Historiographies of the Indian Diaspora
- Identity and Heterogeneity of the Indian Diaspora
- Voice from Indian Diaspora: Language and Literature, Foodways, Film, The performing Arts/Heritage, Politics and Media
- Emerging Indian Diaspora as A Resource between Home, Host and Global Community: Social, Culture, Political, International and Economic Aspects
- Diasporic Experience in Other Part of the World
การประชุมวิชาการนานาชาติ หัวข้อ “Indian Diaspora in Asia” จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 18-19 กรกฎาคม 2567 โดยมี ศูนย์ภารตะศึกษา เป็นเจ้าภาพหลักในการจัดงานเพื่อเป็นพื้นที่สำหรับการนำเสนอผลงานวิจัย แลกเปลี่ยน เรียนรู้ และทราบสถานการณ์ศึกษาวิจัยในประเด็นดังกล่าวที่เป็นปัจจุบันสำหรับนักวิชาการ นักวิจัย นักศึกษาและผู้ที่สนใจจากหลากหลายประเทศ อาทิ ประเทศอินเดีย ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ประเทศมาเลเซีย ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ประเทศศรีลังกา และประเทศไทย เพื่อสร้างเครือข่ายทางวิชาการ และหาแนวทางในการสร้างความร่วมมือเพื่อพัฒนาต่อยอดงานวิจัยร่วมกัน อันจะนำไปสู่การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิจัยที่มีคุณภาพ เป็นประโยชน์ต่อสังคมและต่อการกำหนดนโยบายของประเทศในประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องต่อไป
International Conference on Indian Diaspora in Asia by RILCA and the Indian Studies Network
On July 18, 2024, the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, through the Centre for Bharat Studies, in partnership withthe Embassy of India, and the Indian Studies Network, held an international academic conference titled “Indian Diaspora in Asia.” The event was opened by Assoc Prof Dr Siripen Ungsitipoonporn, Deputy Director for Research, Innovation and Finance at RILCA, and Assoc Prof Dr Sophana Srichampa, Head of Centre for Bharat Studies, utlined the objectives of the conference. On this occasion, Assoc Prof Dr Vichita Ractham, Acting Vice President for Corporate Communication and Branding at Mahidol University, delivered a welcome address to participants from across Asia, both domestic and international at the SEAM MUSEUM, Mahidol University, Salaya.
