Prof. Mika Hasebe อาจารย์ประจำจาก Meiji Gakuin University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น มาบรรยายในหัวข้อ Gendered Migration and Integration Process: Thai Immigrants in the late 1980s – 2020s และศิษย์เก่าหลักสูตรวัฒนธรรมศึกษา สถาบันฯ ได้แก่ คุณไกรวิสุทธิ์ รณขัณฑ์ทอสกุล บรรยายเรื่อง Housing and living styles of migrant workers in Thailand และคุณวิทยา ไชยดี บรรยายเรื่อง Translocal Religion among Myanmar Migrant Workers in Thailand และดำเนินรายการโดย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ขวัญจิต ศศิวงศาโรจน์ ประธานกลุ่มวิจัยฯ ในวันที่ 3 มีนาคม 2566 ณ ห้องณัฐ ภมรประวัติ ชั้น 1 และผ่านระบบออนไลน์ Zoom Meeting
Seminar on Comparative Perspectives on the Transnational Lives of Migrant Workers
Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA), Cultural Diversity and Well-being Cluster (CDWe), organized a seminar on the 3rd of March 2023 in the Nat Pamornprawat Room, as well as online via Zoom Meeting. The seminar was focused on “Comparative Perspectives on the Transnational Lives of Migrant Workers.” Distinguished speakers shared their insights on the topic, including Assoc Prof Mika Hasebe, lecturer at Meiji Gakuin University, Japan, who discussed “Gendered Migration and Integration Process: Thai Immigrants in the Late 1980s-2020s.” Cultural Studies Program alumnus, Mr Kraivisut Ronnakhanthosakul, presented on the topic of “Housing and Living Styles of Migrant Workers in Thailand.” Mr Vithaya Chaidee, meanwhile, spoke about “Translocal Religion Among Myanmar Migrant Workers in Thailand.” The seminar was moderated by Assoc Prof Dr Kwanchit Sasiwongsaroj, Chairperson of CDWe, RILCA. The event provided a platform for scholarly discussion on the complex realities of transnational migration and the challenges faced by migrant workers in various contexts.
